My husband and I recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch in Avon Colorado, it was a fantastic trip from start to finish. We have stayed in many fine hotels around the world and this has to rank as one of the best. We booked through WhataHotel.com with Maria and she was phenomenal from finding us an incredible deal on the Club level of the Ritz, and by providing us with some great perks for booking through them. (We received a $40 per day breakfast credit and a $85 general food credit.) When we arrived the doorman immediately took us up to the 8th floor to a private check in on the club level. We were offered wine, champagne, water etc. The check is was quick and smooth done by Vanessa and then she gave us tour of the Club lounge. What a beautiful place it is, just like having your own private living room with a roaring fire and lovely music throughout the day and night. They also offer 5 food services throughout the day and the the food was wonderful! I highly recommend the club level. Our room was lovely with a fireplace and deck overlooking the slopes and huge marble bathroom with separate shower and bath. We even had a lovely bottle of wine and hot cocoa mix waiting for us in our room from Maria (the lovely woman that booked our hotel for us). Whenever we would leave our room we were greeted by the friendly staff at the Ritz asking if they could help us with anything. Skiing was great and they will gladly help you put your boots on and take them off at the end of the day. Each day after we put on our boots, our skis would already be on the ground on the slope with our poles on each side. We would just step in and take off for the day. We received the same amazing service when we would arrived back at the lodge, it was as if they knew we were coming. They would take our skis and poles and store them for us and they would have our walking boots waiting for us to put on. We ate at both restaurants Spago and Buffalo Bar, both were wonderful. The lobby is warm and inviting with massive wood beams and a huge stone fireplace. We ate one night sitting on the couch in front of the fire. They have an outdoor heated pool and three hot tubs. This has to be the closest you can get to a life while sitting in a hot tub, you can't be more than 40 feet away and just steps from the slope. If you are looking for a fantastic ski vacation you really can't beat the location and service of the Ritz. I also highly recommend Maria at WhataHotel.com. We have now booked two vacations with her and she is so incredibly efficient ensuring all our needs are met. In addition, when you book through WhataHotel.com they have incredible perks that you get just by booking with them. We went to the Four Season in Vegas last April and she also providing great service for that vacation.
From the moment we arrived we could not have had better service. We drove up and immediately were treated like royalty. They told us since our car was a hybrid that the parking ($39.00 per day) would be free. Then at check-in they upgraded our room to a bigger room. We received the vouchers for breakfast for 2 for the two days as well as $50.00 toward lunch for one day. Besides all that the room was great, an old world feel with a timeless look. The lobby is beautiful and was transformed before our eyes to a winter wonderland. The workout room and pool was used and appreciated. The location was convenient to everything in Seattle. All the staff was so pleasant and when we picked up our car to go home we found a cute sack with 2 milks and cookies for the ride home. We DEFINITELY will go back.
So happy with What a Hotel!! This will certainly not be the last time I use this great service - Greg was so helpful and made the reservation process a breeze. The perks were fantastic and I don't know why anyone would book a hotel anywhere else!
We have just returned from a trip to Paris and I want to take this opportunity of expressing my absolute pleasure at the service and value that you delivered. Not only did you save us a considerable amount on our reservation but the "perks" package on the room , the VIP treatment , breakfast and arrival gifts were a real treat. This is the first time we have used your services but believe you me it will not be the last!!. My recent stay in DC was fantastic! The Mandarin Oriental was exceptional…..your perks were outstanding. We were there for the Rally and within walking distance, if you like to walk. I cannot rave enough about your reservation service and we will be using you again in the future. The restaurants in the hotel were upscale and quite accessible. The food was quite good, and again, your food credits were welcomed.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you what great service I had from Maria for my recent booking through Whatahotel.com. I have used your site many, many times to book hotels, especially the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, because the rates and perks offered by your site are always the best. However, on this occasion, my husband, 5 year old son and I wanted to try the St. Regis in Dana Point, CA, which is near our home To make the trip practical, we needed a late check out since we were only staying one night and my husband wanted to play golf , and we needed a room until later in the day. I searched the internet for the best rates, which of course your site had, but a late check out was not one of the perks offered. I contacted Whatahotel with an inquiry of whether or not any additional perks could be added or traded for an offered perk. I advised in my e-mail that I always liked to book through your site but that I needed a late check out for this trip. I thought maybe I could trade the $75 spa credit for the late check out ( when I contacted the St. Regis directly about the late check out, they said it could only be confirmed for an additional $75) I received an e-mail back from Maria and she stated she would communicate with the hotel directly to see what she could do through her on site contacts. The initial response from the hotel to Maria, was that they could not confirm the late check out, but that one could be requested. Maria did not give up after that initial response and continued to communicate with the hotel on my behalf. Remarkably, she secured a confirmed late check out of 4 PM for our stay and we still received all the other perks !! I found out upon check in that the hotel was quite full, so Maria really did work some magic in securing the late check out. When we arrived, checking in went perfectly and the front desk had every aspect of the booking correct. That night we dined on the property and when we returned, we found lovely welcome gifts sent by Maria in our room. We had a great time and Maria's help and additional surprises made the trip for us. I have to say that without Maria having secured the late check out, in all likelihood we would not have chosen to stay the night as the Resort is close to our home. But now, we had such a great time, that we intend to return for a longer stay, And, of course, book through Whatahotel. My family and I take a lot of mini vacations through out the year and I want to convey to you that the service and assistance I received from Maria in booking this trip was truly exceptional. As I stated previously, I have used your website many times to book our hotels, and have always had smooth easy bookings. However, I never considered that I would receive such personal service, or have a special request handled so promptly, courteously, and successfully. Please convey my appreciation to Maria for assisting myself and my family in booking this hotel stay and making this trip so delightful. She did exceptional service on our behalf. WOW we had a fabulous time at 'The Waldorf'. We were over the moon with our upgraded Disney View Queen room. Hey they beds were so comfy you didn't want to get up!! The breakfast vouchers were a real treat. We enjoyed the eggs benedict. Jenna liked the fruit basket served in a pineapple shell. They also insisted I use the 75$ spa credit. I told them I wasn't expecting this in the deal but they said please use it!! I had a lovely paraffin wax pedicure by Evonne from the Carribean. I tell you..you don't get pedicures like that in Scotland!! So thanks again...we loved it....should have given the 'Omni' a miss...and stayed at The Waldorf 8 nights. Your customer attention is really special and I have certainly been recommending you to family and friends. We plan to go back again next year (8 years in a row!)....and fancy The Waldorf Resort in Boca Raton as one of our places so will be back in touch. Lucy, just wanted to drop you a note of thanks for helping with the arrangements for one of the most memorable vacations that we have taken in our lives! All of the arrangements went flawless. As you may recall, the weeks before our departure it looked like we were doomed due to airline strikes, volcanoes, and riots in Athens. In the end, the airline flights were perfect, the volcano eased up, and Athens calmed down. The Avanti people you placed us in the care of met us at every juncture and were marvelous. In fact these people ended up being one of the things we enjoyed most about the trip as they were not only courteous, but enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area. They also made absolutely sure that our connections were made at every step of the trip. As for Italy and Greece, we naturally enjoyed very much the beautiful landscapes (took over 3000 pictures) but we also met many wonderful people at each step. The Greek Isles of Mykonos and Santorini as well as the City of Venice and the Amalfi Coast were real highlights that created memories to last us a lifetime. The hotels you selected in Venice and Sorrento were PERFECT. The one in Sorrento had spectacular views of the Mediterranean from our room patio. Again, thank you for making this trip so wonderful. We wanted to thank you for all of your help and support. Your prompt and efficient response expedited the process and made all the difference. We had a wonderful weekend in New York City at the Ritz-Carlton, Central Park. The hotel was the best (no pun intended: "what a hotel!"). All the staff (and even the other guests) were all so friendly. The Club lounge access was exceptional, the several food presentations amazing: afternoon tea, hors d'oeuvres, caviar service, dessert and coffee. Beautifully prepared, relaxing atmosphere on the 2nd floor with great view of the park and horse-drawn carriages. The concierge at the Club Lounge was very nice. We tried out the steam room at La Prairie Spa in the hotel, and then waliked to dinner/cabaret show several blocks away past the exclusive shops of Madison Avenue at the Cafe Carlyle in The Carlyle hotel (at E. 76th St.). Again, thanks for your help, and we really look forward to The Peninsula in Chicago, Oct. 19-22! You guys are the best..first-class all the way!

My wife and I ended up staying a bit longer at Enchantment. All was wonderful and I'm especially thankful for your services. The "compimentary breakfast amenity" either at the Restaurant or room service was incredibly beneficial as most mornings, having been out very late the previous night - room service was an absolute God-send. The trip you arranged for us to the Villa d'Este was absolutely fabulous! The Accommodations were excellent! Our room was a large corner room overlooking the lake from one window and the gardens from the other window. Only problem...our luggage went elsewhere and so we arrived at the Villa d'Este sans luggage. The concierge said not to worry, they would handle it, that we should go to our room, relax and then walk around the grounds. Two hours later, while doing just that, a messenger came and handed me a note "Mr. Kramer, your luggage is in your room". Awaiting us in our gorgeous room was a delicious cake with the inscription "Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. Kramer" , a large bottle of Champagne, a beautiful large bouquet of flowers, a lovely Anniversary card, a large bowl of fresh fruit, Chocolates, a large bottle of iced Perrier and some other welcome amenities that made us feel so welcome. From then on, it only got better! Great meals, delightful people met, All in all, your arrangements were superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. Thank You.
A few years ago, I had my first experience with Lorraine travel when I booked a trip to Canyon Ranch. The excellent value kept me coming back. However, my recent experience with one of your employees compelled me to write this letter. Rachel recently assisted me with booking my wedding trip to the One and Only Ocean club in the Bahamas and the customer service she provided was outstanding. I am sure you can imagine the drama involved with trying to schedule 4 families. She was there to assist with not only the rooms and several changes, but also the limos, the golf tee times and even hearing me complain about my cheap in-laws. She even gave me her cell phone when the phones were down due to the hurricane. It made an extremely stressful time go much easier as I felt completely confident that everything was going to go as planned and if fact it did. I have recommended you to several friends and family members based on price before, but now I am telling people to call and get 5 star service at discount prices. Thanks again and I look forward to working with Rachel & Lorraine Travel again.

The room at the Princeville Resort Kauai was beautiful with a view you could die for. Outstanding service.
By the way the Princeville has the best Luau on all the Islands. I would recommend it to anyone you book there. When we arrived at the Fairmont in Maui, the original room you booked for us was not available. They did upgrade us though to a two story three bedroom ocean front Villa instead. It did work out beautifully. The Villa was large with a private pool and in a very private area of the property. The free upgrades made our trip exceptional.

I just wanted to let you know how impressed Paul and I were with our accommodations and with how organized our travel schedule was on our trip to Machu Picchu. We had an outstanding time in Peru, on our honeymoon, and we loved staying at both Hotel Monasterio, and at the Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. The service, food, accommodations, and personal guides were of the highest quality. We were even given room upgrades at both hotels, as well as complimentary champagne and other amenities. We had to change our vacation plans at the last minute because of Hurricane Dennis. We decided upon Cabo and wanted to stay at One and Only Palmilla. Ivonne was extremely helpful, contacting the property to get us in at the last minute and providing us with the normal amenities such as free breakfast (a great value), in-room reflexology massage (which was wonderful!), and free upgrade based on availability. As it turned out, we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom luxury suite, their finest room available. It was an incredible experience. We plan to visit Palmilla again next year and will surely be contacting Ivonne for assistance. Thanks for making our last minute vacation into one of the best ever!

I just wanted to drop you a note about our experience at the 21 Club. We had a wonderful time. We were told that because we made our booking through you all that we were entitled to extra attention. We each received a complimentary introductory cocktail and were taken on a private tour of the wine cellar and hidden speakeasy. The tour created a buzz in our little group and gave us something to talk about before moving on to business conversation. The staff of the 21 Club was especially attentive. The food was exquisite and its presentation enticing. All six of us chose the wine tasting menu, so the sommelier paired a generous (and delicious!) glass of wine with each course. The food, drink and conversation were so plentiful, we actually left a bit of everything at the table with the understanding that we would all meet there again, try new dishes and continue talking. Thank you so much, Betsy, for arranging our evening at the 21 Club. I'll be calling you again soon for a new adventure!
Thanks so much! Just got home from Barcelona and were thrilled with our room in the Hotel Arts. As promised we got the upgrade to a great view and loved our room and the Hotel so much it was tempting to forgoe the sightseeing activities we had arranged. The service was impeccable. The only sad thing was the fact I left a memento of the F1 Race(a red tank top) at the pool. thanks for delivering as promised, will use you again!

I was also able to read the correspondence with the hotel that you initiated and was IMPRESSED.... We will definitely accept the Dreams Come True Package at the Four Seasons Milan and want the ticket to Giselle at La Scala (in row M seats 1and 2) . There aren't enough words to express what a fantastic experience we had! The Burj Al Arab is beyond ones imagination. The suite was a corner one and we could see everything. I want to thank you for making all of that possible. The amenities were fabulous! Everything was perfect! Dubai makes Las Vegas look cheap! Dubai is unbelievable. They work 24 hours a day. We had a fantastic time and we want to go back to the Burj-Al-Arab for our 40th in 2007. Hopefully all will go well and we can call you!

We returned yesterday from our four night stay at the Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey and it was excellent. The upgrades were very nice and the Sunday brunch party was terrific. My guests were very pleased. We would like to book your special package at his property again; for another four nights starting Feb. 14 2004 to celebrate Valentines with my honey! We will need one of the two Royal Suites, Non-smoking and please book them in my name and invoice to my credit card which you have on file. Thanks
In Rome our spacious Suite and rooms were beautiful. The staff at the Concierge desk was excellent. In fact the morning of our very early departure to London, on extremely short notice, they arranged for a wonderful doctor to come see me, and he made it possible for me to fly. In cases like these a quality hotel makes all the difference. Many thanks for all your help in making this trip possible. Despite the challenges, we completed our entire plan and we were delighted to introduce our grand children to wonderful Italy.

This trip was great. The hotel is extremely nice and the service is incomparable. It's by far the best Four Seasons property we have ever been to. Oscar was very cordial and attentive. Dinner at The Rock was an incredibly romantic experience. So I figure that since you alaways hear from Mercy when something goes wrong, you should be the first to know that this was just perfect and most enjoyable.

Our trip was lovely. We had some challenges, for sure.... like British Airways keeping all our nine bags for over 48 hours. Finally they caught with us in Florence, after much frustration. Thankfully our wonderful accommodations made these inconveniences much more bearable. Also we had nice weather in Venice. Abel and Reuben invited Luisa and me for tea and a chat at The Luna, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and our Suite was spectacular, with a huge Terrace overlooking Grand Canal.
Just wanted to let you know that we loved Cuisinart. Everything went very smoothly. I hope to book travel plans with you again in the future. Thanks for all of your help.

I just wanted to let you know that we had the most incredible time at One&Only Palmilla. We did get the room upgrade and had a Casita right on the beach. At the hotel, we saw and swam with some Hollywood Stars. The service was great and it was the finest hotel I've ever stayed in. I will definitely be recommending Lorraine Travel and the hotel. My wife and I have a new dream - To stay at every One&Only resort! Thank you for all your excellent help.
