    Built fifty years ago by an adventurer and famous aviator named Remy De Haenen, the property was bought in 1995 by an English couple, David and Jane Matthews, who have refurbished and improved the facilities over the years and have created an extraordinarily intimate resort that can be described as a tropical country house.
